Can a Sony Ericson W610i cell phone use a 4GB or larger memory card?

The official specs say the largest memory card supported is 2GB. However, the official specs don't always conform with what the actual hardware can do, so I was wondering if that's a hard limit or if anyone's managed to use something bigger in a w610i phone.

Update:

If anyone's tried it successfully, did you have to modify the phone, and if so, how?

all sony ericsson phones say they have a limit, but really that limit is just put out at that time because at that time that size is the largest available.

but yea you can use up to 8gb m2 memory card in that phone!
