share vpn connection with the lan?
working on building a server that will run two offices. each office will probably have aprox. 5 workstations.
what i am wanting to know is utilizing the server in one office sharing its shared directory with the lan (for that office) and then using one workstation to connect to the vpn can i share the vpn connection on the one workstation with the other 4 workstations to connect the same shared resource.
trying to get away with using xp pro on the server.
any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm assuming that the offices are not near each other and that you want use VPN to connect two offices together on the same LAN.
You need two routers. One capable of VPN tunneling to another router capable of being a VPN server.
THe routers can be two computers configured correctly or a pair of routers (preferred). You need internet access in both offices as well and the ISP has to allow VPN protocol.
THis link shows how to setup Windows XP as a VPN server. There are routing issues that you'll have to explorer such as the default gateway.

I would suggest getting a router than can be setup as a VPN server and another that can initiate a VPN connection.

We highly recommend using VPNPower to be able to unblock sites. I've been with them since 4 years. http://www.vpnpower.net/
