Craig levein, you are so wrong kenny Clark?
So Kenny Clark thinks that refs are not being shown enough respect and feels that Craig Levein was bang out of order to stand up for his side. Well as a lawyer Mr Clarkk should understand that a man who has been wronged is not going to sit back and say `lock me up` Craig levein could be fired because of incvompetence in Mc Curry`s case, down right cheating. At least Craig levein has the guts to stand up to the SFA bigots. Remember wee Gordon refused to accept a punishment earlier this season and took it to appeal. End result the SFa were forced into an embarrassing climbdown which amounted to them addmitting their referee had been in the wrong. If managers didn`t appeal/complain Scottish Football would be worse off because the incompetent refs wouldn`t be exposed for what they are.
Funny how the only people defending referees here is Rangers supporters. Need I remind you of the numbe of the Jim Farry episode where the SFA intervened to make sure Celtic were denied a vital player for an Old Firm game.
Like it or lump it guys, Mc Curry, Dougal ,brines they all come inot games involving Rangers and Celtic with a preset idea of how the game will play out. Not remember a few yeatrs ago when Celtic were running away with the league and Strachan came out and said the Hoops hadn`t had a penalty all season. All those goals scored, all that possesion and yet not a single opposition player had committed a foul on a Celtic player in the penalty box. If the SFA and the referees want us to believe they are not biased then they need to be available for post match questions to the press. Remember the game isn`t about the ref, it is about one team v another team.
Radiotab, no green eyed googes here. Celtic fans were saying there was a problem with Mc Curry for a long time before he exposed himself in the Dundee Utd game. Every team gwets the luck of the draw sometimes, it is just funny how Rangers always seem to get the luck. Whenever there is an Old Firm game, the guys at work say which will happen first. Celtic get a guy sent off or Rangers get a penalty.
wma06 A good point.

What I don't understand about the whole Rangers v Dundee Utd incidents is why its only the ref who has come in for all the criticism. According to the reports after the game he got the penalty decision wrong but for the own goal he took the advice of his assistant who somehow saw the ball hit the Utd man in the offside position. Why is the assistant now not under the same scrutiny as the ref? At least the ref had to decide if the tackle was a penalty but the assistant managed to see something that clearly did not happen.

There is a massive difference between standing up for you side and slating a referee the way he did. There are rules laid down and managers are well aware of them. If they don't like those rules tough. They have the option not to be interviewed after a game, get someone else to conduct the interview, Join a different league, do whatever you think is best for your club but the rules have to be obeyed or we have anarchy.
Your last sentence is correct managers can appeal or complain but through the correct channels, not to a TV camera immediately after a game
Your comment about SFA bigots is a disgrace.
Middenraker ask non old firm fans what they think about decisions against them when playing the old firm and you will get an answer that will tell you that your green eyed goggles are on. You are beginning to sound paranoid and thats when you have won the league. God knows what you will be like if you lose that trophy.

I am just glad that it has all come to light eventually and the biased refs will think twice before being involved...personally i think Craig Levein was right to say what he said...freedom of speech remember and to be honest it was about time something was said about him and others...and before all you Gers fans start with the damn thumbs I mean biased refs from both sides

agree with Radiotab.
had he gone down the proper channels like strachan, then his word might be treated with some respect.
Clark came onto the SFA site, willingly, and gave his version of events. Levein continued his tirades, and is being punished.
If not, the next time a ref gives a bad decision, is it going to be ok to make it back page news and tell the world on setanta? no. there are ways of going about it, and his way isnt it. he has only shown himself up to be short tempered and highly unprofessional.

it wasnt the managers fault that scotland lost to wales it replaced into the linesman who waved his flag for some thing even as steven fletcher scored a proper sturdy purpose, 2-0 up it can were a unique out come on the stunning whistle Belgium is a sturdy crew, they have some stunning gamers so we replaced into gazing for a loss or maybe a draw if we replaced into fortunate adverse to them even as both homestead attracts adverse to serbia and macedonia wasnt the suitable outcomes for us it wasnt the worst both i could follow levein till eventually the top of this campaign our success would change we would win our next video games and one way or the different qualify lol, if our success dosnt change sack him and get a sparkling manager for the 2016 eu championship i could opt for craig brown depending how he receives on with aberdeen this season, if aberdeen finished contained in the genuine 3 spot this season,, craig brown is the guy for the interest again

levien said what he did in the angry heat of the moment right after mccurry had an awful game in which every decison went against united.
i tend to think he was right (then, i would, wouldn't i?) but the truth is middy, celtic also get their fair share of decisions against non-old firm teams and whilst off the top of my head, rangers seem to benefit marginally more, i couldn't say that your team miss out too much.
i think more managers should complain. (except strachan and smith!)

I think Levein was right to say what he did as some of these decision could determine who finishes where in the league
