Will RB Shaun Alexander be signed by the Chicago Bears now that they have waived RB Cedric Benson?

Update:

Thanks for the completely pointless propaganda Wayne. You represent your family name well.

I hope not. He's washed up. He was afraid to run the ball last year.

  • The Bears don't need him for any reason. He doesn't need to mentor, we already have a mentor. Adrian Peterson will be a great mentor. Sure he doesn't have a lot of experience at the RB position, but he knows how to work hard, plays great special teams and is probably near the top of the NFL for blocking backs. It's all the mall things that Peterson does that will help young guys like Forte be successful NFL players.

I do see the Bears going after a more veteran RB this offseason, but I don't think it will be Shaun Alexander. I see them going after a guy more like Kevin Jones or recently dropped Travis Henry.

Possibly but Shaun Alexander is more over rated than Cedric Benson and Shaun Alexander is getting worse.. He would have to try to revive his career somewhere like Jamal Lewis did last year kinda.. The Bears should of addressed QB this year They know they do not have the answer with who they have at the helm but I expect Rex can improve his decision making and I am not a Bears fan but maybe they should go after Daunte Culpepper atleast for some reassurance I dunno how much he could give The Bears but I think they need to do something

The odds of him coming to the bears are slim at best. And really he has no business with the bears. His upside is gone, he is no longer breaking runs, nor would he be good at mentoring the two younger backs that the bears currently have on there team. He really isn't looking to play the game again or prove his worth, he is at the end of his career if it hasn't already passed and is looking for that last pay check, before he takes a job up in the booth! I hope the bears do themselves a favor and don't even humor the idea of bring him in for a workout.

Cedric Benson is being dealt with because of the fact the huge style a million back as of now yet he rather has achieved little to instruct he merits it. i think of Benson would be named starter whilst the season starts off yet Jones takes it from him in week 3-5 via the two out enjoying him or because of the fact Benson receives harm.

Being a Hawks fan, i dont wish shaun on anybody!!! yes i know he is a "good person" and he did alot for the seahawks and i am thankful for that. But the guy has lost it, did you see him try and run last year? he would just fall down if there wasn't a hole for him!!!!

i would like to see the bears bring in alexander for a workout. i really would like to see forte have a strong year with garrett wolffe getting the rest of the carries, wolffe is a great change of pace back and was awesome in college. go bears.

I hope not. I think they should get the more talented, younger, kevin jones. It is a risk but a one year deal wouldn't hurt. The bad thing about him is that he gets hurt alot. The good thing is that he is multi-dementional and really fast. Alexander had his time.

Being a True Blue Hawk Fan.

I don't know if he ends up in Bear country. But I really hope he has an opportunity to play again. He really is one of the better backs to play the game.

Great Character, Great man and A GODLY man at that

    GO SHAUN

    GO HAWKS

I think he can help out, and mentor the young backs on the team.

Still think they should have gone with the hometown boy of Chicago, rashard mendenhall.

  • well, if you really want a good running back, rather than having shawn alexander, why not go with kevin jones?

yea anyways, i expect them bears to sign a running back
