    "Everybody wants this recipe when I take them in for a carry-in. To make them award winning, my daughter, Tegan, made them for a cookie baking contest and won a red ribbon! You can use any flavor pudding you like for this recipe."

    INGREDIENTS:

    4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    2 teaspoons baking soda

    2 cups butter, softened

    1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

    1/2 cup white sugar

    2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

    4 eggs

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

    2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.

    2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

    3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

    "These cookies are the pinnacle of perfection! If you want a big, fat, chewy cookie like the kind you see at bakeries and specialty shops, then these are the cookies for you!"

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 cups all-purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    1 cup packed brown sugar

    1/2 cup white sugar

    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    1 egg

    1 egg yolk

    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.

    2. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

    3. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets.     1/2 teaspoon salt

    i haven't tried vons choco chip cookie, but this is the recipe i'm using for my chewy cookies. good luck. i hope you'll like them too.

    The Chewy

    2 sticks unsalted butter

    2 1/4 cups bread flour

    1 teaspoon kosher salt

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    1/4 cup sugar

    1 1/4 cups brown sugar

    1 egg

    1 egg yolk

    2 tablespoons milk

    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

    Hardware:

    Ice cream scooper (#20 disher, to be exact)

    Parchment paper

    Baking sheets

    Mixer

    Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

    Melt the butter in a heavy-bottom medium saucepan over low heat. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside.

    Pour the melted butter in the mixer's work bowl. Add the sugar and brown sugar. Cream the butter and sugars on medium speed. Add the egg, yolk, 2 tablespoons milk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture until thoroughly combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

    Chill the dough, then scoop onto parchment-lined baking sheets, 6 cookies per sheet. Bake for 14 minutes or until golden brown, checking the cookies after 5 minutes. Rotate the baking sheet for even browning. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.

    The only one I know is made with ritz and peanut butter too.. well here it is anyway. good luck

    VON'S CHOCOLATE RITZ

    2 lbs. chocolate bark (melting chocolate)

    1 sm. jar peanut butter

    1 box Ritz crackers

    You can make 1/2 of all this. Spread Ritz crackers with peanut butter, put these in freezer. Melt chocolate bark and put frozen Ritz crackers in until covered. Remove and lay on waxed paper.
