24495.exe Process and file running on computer?

Anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? It appeared the other day and it wiped out my internet connection for a while. I still can not use internet explorer. I have to go through Ace Explorer. Thanks!

It's happened to me twice despite having a firewall and AVG, this thing about five-digit number malware. First look at all processes, make sure there's no more, do a search and find all those, then delete all of them, like someone said. Then run secpol.msc and under Software Restriction Policies > Additional rules > New path rule (a bit of right-clicking involved), add the rule not to run the process (from the path you found when you searched). Then run a spybot S&D, delete all it finds, then run a full virus scan. You've got to do the SSD and virus scan. Just deleting it once usually doesn't work.

24495.exe doesn't come up with anything on Google, and if you're sure it was the cause of your lack of connection via IE, I would be tempted to say it is spyware. Run both Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy to get rid of it, and try using Firefox next time - it's safer.

no longer inevitably, as each and every device may be diverse. some persons have blackberry utility, Ipod utility, printer utility, all which probable has a technique get right of entry to. no rely if it fairly is needed/prudent is a relative question. i might look someplace else for overall performance issues, consisting of disk fragmentation, experience logs for blunders, so on etc. overall performance issues on structures are literally the toughest issues to troubleshoot.

This is the best idea I can come up with. I did a google search and came up empty. So I went to metacrwaler.com and found this.
