What's the best way to eliminate creeping charlie from my yard?

I live in Minnesota and the fast-spreading weed, creeping charlie is trying to take over my small yard. Is there a quick way to kill it or does it have to be dug out?

When it is gone, can I plant grass seed right away or should I put some new soil/fertilizer down?

Goto your local garden center or greenhouse NOT HOME DEPOT OR LOWES, and ask them. I was told any product with trimec. Used it, and it works. It is a type of broad leaf weed killer. Read the label carefully. The temperature really affects the result.

You can't dig or pull creeping charlie out. Every break in the stems sends out new plants. The only thing to kill it is Roundup (Glyphosate). Roundup will kill any other plants that it comes into contact with also. You need to apply it on a very calm day, no wind. And you don't want to apply it if a rainstorm is coming within 24 hours. Read the directions carefully. Wear protective clothing. This is a pesticide. It is hazardous material. Follow the directions to the letter.

A weed killer made for large-leafed weeds will be your answer, yet you've gotten to maintain on with it with severe care so as no longer to kill the flora you opt for to keep. study some labels and locate one which isn't leach into parts the position you do not opt for it to pass.
