Same thing that always happens when a democrat promises anything, they blame the other side. The can not and have never, ever taken responsibility for their own actions.

    Edit: Note to sageandscholar

You are right Bush vetoed alot of those bills because the damn democrats can not craft a bill that doesn't have a tax increase.

Even the best bills crafted by the dems is like a TAMPON (it has a string attached). Try not increasing taxes or pumping each bill with pork and maybe Bush would have signed one or two of them.

You send in bills stuffed with SH*T and then blame the President for not signing it, then you say he is dumb.

Great Question! Everything you said is true, yet the socialists try to pin it all on W. That was their plan anyway...Power. I only hope America will wake up and quit allowing themselves to be fleeced by a bunch of socialists calling for change. The change we need is less government, less taxes, more business opportunities leading to innovation, creating the ability to lead the world in industry and technology. Obama and his gang of thieves want to appease terrorist and enemies and steal from corporations to give tax credits to Americans who don't pay taxes. The problem with taxing big oil etc. is that really it's a backdoor way to steal from mine, as well as others hard working Americans 401k accounts. Vote NO Obama! Wake up people!

Actually despite Republicans liking to pretend the opposite they actually delivered most of what they promised.

    Ethics reform - check

    Minimum wage increase - check

Recommendations of 9/11 commission enacted into law - check

Promote stem cell research funding - check

Legislation requiring timeline for withdrawl - check

The fact that some of these promises that the American public overwhelmingly voted in favor of in 2006 were vetoed by this President is not something you can blame on the congress.

In addition this Democratic majority also passed legislation to make college and healthcare more affordable, and to make the USA more energy independent. Again without the support of the majority of congressional Republicans.

Imagine what they will get done when we can remove the veto pen from Dubya's hand and move past Republican attempts to stop the senate voting on what the American people want.

Source(s): Justgetit - nice try but false I am afraid. Bush did not veto stem cell funding or a timeline for withdrawl due to pork but rather because he disagreed with the very crux of what they were enforcing.

I'm not a Pelosi fan but under her leadership the house did pass 3 major bills. One to end the war, another to expand stem cell research and the last to increase mimimum wage.

Unfortunately, the bills haven't made it past the gridlock in the senate.

    They did all of it.

Republicans would have never let them hear the end of it if they hadn't.

The problem is that in hour 101, they took impeachment off the table. Which erases any good they did or could do in the first 100 YEARs.

    Does it really matter?

Meaning, who cares who wins in November. With all of the economic issues goes on, whoever gets elected will just get blamed... Also, any president elected will only get 4 years because of this...

In short, Republicans will be all upset that they will get slaughtered in November... They will be ecstatic 2 years from November, however...

The same place all the others went.

You're pointing at just the Democrats?

Bush vetoed everything because the Dems don't have a large majority
