Is Congress on a free ride with all the blame going to the President?

If our economy were as bad as the Democrats in Congress say it is, then what responsibility do they hold? Is the Executive Branch so strong that it holds all the resposibility, or is the Legislative Branch so weak and timid that they are intimidated by the President?

Update:

Joe - my genuin concern is why everyone jumps on the "blame Bush wagon" everytime Congress says so. What if anything has congress acually accomplished since the 110th began. They played their hand when they approved his stimulus checks within 18 hours.

Update 2:

Billy - I disagree, this country can only go so high so fast. The economy we live in has to level itself out. One man cannot be responsible for so much and as for the 109th Congress the difference withing parties was very much similar to what we have now. The only way to pass a bill would have to included many Democrats. They did participate in passing those bills.

For your lack of knowledge on this subject, your ability to speculate is outstanding. Yes, it is as bad as they're saying, not because they're saying it, but because EVERYONE IS, you just have to start paying attention, and stop listening to talk radio. Warren Buffet, richest man in the world, said we're going into a recession and depression, longer and harder than anyone is speculating. He is advising McCain, so there you have it.

Most of the problems we're facing were caused by the historically unprecedented period of borrowing from 2002-2006 when Republicans controlled the congress.
