CHRISTIANS Please! Is JOHN the Baptist STILL ALIVE…?

I don't have an opinion one way or another. However, just to add a counter to the dismissive answers you have had so far, there are certainly legends to the effect that John's 'death' and 'immortality' are uncertain.

J J Dewey's book, 'The Immortal' might be of interest.

Like me he doesn't decide whether the story is truth or legend, but he does at least look at it intelligently.

John the Baptist was a man even thou he possesed the mantle of Elijah.. Jesus himself said that he was made a little lower than angels. Jesus was a servant as he said the least shall be the greatest. Jesus obviously became the greatest. Thus John the baptist was a prophet, a man, the spirit of Elijah and the one making the way straight for the Lord. John the baptist will receive a prophets reward. What was in heaven was greater than all. Christians or those that sleep in Jesus are not in heaven, they are in paradise. Matthew 5:34 Heaven is the throne of God. We pray that the Kingdom comes. Be just a little more accurate with your doctrine. In the scripture you quoted it said HE. How come not SHE. Because the one in the Kingdom was "GOD". Lucifer went to the pits of hell for saying he shall ascend to heaven. Isaiah 14. When Jesus comes he will bring those that sleep in Jesus. No, I do not agree at all. John the Baptist was beheaded, he was not given back his life (similar to Jesus Christ).

John the Baptist, as with all of us, one day we will come face to face with God on the day of judgement. Every one of us shall have to give an account of our lives. All of us will be judged according to his perfect justice and love. Only he knows everything about us, and the condition of our heart. With regard to where his place is in heaven will be, only God can answer this, for nobody can presume to know for sure. . He was humble, yet bold and courageous. He prepared the way for the ministry of Christ. As he fulfilled the prophecies and will of God, during his lifetime, he surely will be rewarded for his obedience to the calling of God on his life.

It appears from the last question you asked, that it was someone from the mormon religion that you chose to consider as interesting. I respect his answer, however I do not believe or agree that it is true. All the things he said, in my opinion are from the teachings of a false prophet and religion. I believe that this false teaching, is another attempt to deceive and confuse many. It is not an opinion shared by ANY other Christian denomination, that does not belong to a sect.

There are many deceptions, lies and much confusion in the world, however there is only ONE truth. In the end all those who love the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and who seek his truth, WILL find it.

Like I have said before, it is recommended that you read the gospels for yourself. If your heart is to love and serve God, then ask for him to reveal the truth. Listening to the many bizarre beliefs of Jesus from different sects, will only give you a distorted picture about who Jesus really was and is, and why he came.

I would not choose to quote and listen to a group of Muslim's who had a bizarre, extreme and twisted version of the Qu'ran. Nor would I say that this was a true representation of all Muslim people. I am sure that there are some sects/groups within the Muslim world, that you do not agree with, and would feel uncomfortable to be associated with.

Therefore, please do not quote or presume that these Christan "sects" reflect the true message or doctrine of the Bible.

Edit: Twelve years is a long time ago. I know that if you had not read the Qu'ran for that length of time, your memory of its words could not easily be recalled. Even 3-4 years is a long time. Many of your questions seem to query things from the New Testament teachings or events. I not only recommend that you will consider reading the New Testament, I also strongly advise that before you do, you pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Ask him to show you what you want to know, once and for all. Ask him to reveal the truth you are seeking about the Christian faith. If you are right, then you will only be more convinced of your faith and you have nothing to lose. The Lord is far better at confirming and revealing all truth, much more than the many opinions that you will receive on here.

I believe it is John the Beloved who has never "tasted death"... he wanted to remain on earth until the Savir came again.

John the Baptist was beheaded so definitely died. He was resurrected though. He appeared to Joseph Smith to restore and bestow upon him the Aaronic Priesthood.

*All who ever lived or will live will be resurrected... just not all at the same time.
