    Funny,, both answers above could be right!! because of the letter (ع).

    I guess we can know which is right by knowing the meaning,, if your friends name means (Loin), then it is (أسد) and if it means (happy(er)), then this is (أسعد). But if he does not know the meaning of his name,, then we have a problem :)
