Is it all one God?

Okay.. I've been studying religion, and I've so far studied Hinduism, Christianity, and some Buddhism.. Basically, it all points at one superior power, out of those 3 religions.. or did I just study the wrong books?

Update:

P.S. I'm about to begin studying Parsi, Philosophy, and Judaism.

The creator of everything is GOD.

People in differ parts of the world with different languages & cultures have their own name for "The Creator of Everything".

Religions can call "The Creator of Everything" whatever name that suits them best BUT there is still only "One Creator of Everything" (or superior power as you refer to).

You did not study the wrong books, just understand -- like every person has their own interpretation of any particular event (ask 3 people about what happened when the Tsunami hit, or a large storm passed through- and you will get different versions from their point of view - the main event is the same but they each will tell you a slightly different story)

The religions of the world have their own versions of what happened based on their views of their own world that they live in (or at least the time the religions were created).

They will still lead to "The Creator of Everything".

Elohim or God the Father is the Head God yes he is in Charge. But his son Jesus Christ is also a God he was Jehovah in the Old Testament and the Christ and Savior and our Redeemer in the New Testament under the direction of the Father he Created all things. See John 1; 1-4 The Holy Ghost is also a God his calling is to bear witness of the other two. When a message comes from God to man it is most of the time brought by the Holy Ghost. • Let me give you an example. When Paul was in Greece, he was kicked out of town. As he was being dragged out, he saw an memorial. It said "to an Unkown God" Every man is born with the ability to deduce from logic to believe there is a higher power. However, we can't know the details about the higher power until He reveals himself. He did in the Bible.

You're partially correct. Buddhists do not believe in a creator god. Most, or at least some, are atheist. Although Hindus have hundreds of gods, Brahma is regarded as the creator god.

Exactly! For all actual religions, there is a supreme being. This supreme being is known differently for different beings. In Christianity, this person is called "God". For muslims, this person is called "Allah"

But, beliefs of how things happened are very different.

If religion is the path to inner peace, and the inner peace is the clearing at the center of the forest, and all the different religions are the paths to the clearing, what does it matter who is right if we are all striving for the same thing.

I think you must be studying the wrong books. First, take a course in Philosophy, than you can study the Bible as Jewish Literature and never interpret it literally, except for the historical books.

  • I have briefly studied all religions and there is 'only' One Supreme Being! Different religions have different names for Him. All thay really matters is that; "He Is"!

I doubt that all believers imagine the same god. How could they? Has a god come down to earth to ID itself? No. Therefore, to believers, it would depend on their customs and local traditions as to how they perceive a god, and that should explain to any thinking person that such an entity does not exist.

    Dear Friend,

There is only One...true and "living" God and His name is Jesus Christ.

Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship a person can have with the "living" Person of Jesus Christ. There is none like it in ALL the universe.

Thank you Jesus for saving a sinner like me. Glory to the "Lamb of God."
