    you should never keep tires under 4/32 depth you can do the penny test and see put a penny in-between the tread with Lincoln's head down and if you see Lincoln's forehead all exposed then you need new tires

    that would depend on the tire and the maker of tire...means little.. to know that... your buying new tires i guess im a tire guy many yrs... dont get the cheapest tire it will be just that cheap short lasting... what you do is ask whats your cheapest tire and when they tell you the price ask for another... that tire will be the better tire.... going with a name brand is better i call it a mid range tire.... dont go with the cheapest it will not last as long... dont worry about how deep the tread is.. worry about how long its going to last cheap tire 10,000 maybe ... but the next price tire will get you 50,000 or better
