Ben Spies at Donnington?

I am really looking forward to Ben racing at the British moto GP as he will be a welcome addition to the already talented field, just wish it was Tom Sykes getting a try out now that would be fun for the young lad. I know where suzuki are coming from with regards to Ben as they want him full time next year its just how they can fit him in. Your thoughts please

    This is fantastic news.

I have seen so many people post comments on Crash.net so fast when the news broke this morning.

    My prediction will be 8th / 9th or 10th.

If he can beat Chris V, that would be amazing.

    Hey Jody

I've never seen any coverage of the AMA so couldn't pick Spies out of a line up - but I hear good things about him so can't wait to see him ride.

However - I'm not as optimitc as Wiggy (though Donni is his home track!) so I think he will be lucky to finish in the single figures (when Cappi & Vermeulin have been struggling to do the same themselves - and they know both the bike and the tracks)

Either way - it's gonna be a corker!

    No shyte, huh???

Well, my thoughts are this: at least *SOMEONE* can recognize when he has made it to the top and is the big fish in a small pond and its time to move on. I wish Ben the best of luck, and I think he ought to perform pretty well - at least better than Hayden, who only won the championship by being consistently 3rd in every race...

Mladin should have gone to GP years ago, but he stays in America because he is too big a wuss to race against the real fast guys.

YES YES YES. Hi Jody C.. Give the world a look at Ben. Its the news of the day. its everywhere. I have to calm myself down I'm so excited. but i need to remember he is coming to a track he has never even seen before. a bike he has never ridden before. I hope he uses it as e test ride. nothing stupid like throwing id down the road at Craner curves. or mangling it up at the foggy esses. as he says it will warm him up for the Laguna ride. where he can show us what is what on a Suzuki. and a track he does know. He May even get a shot at Assen.

I feel sorry for Loris, But I am Glad to see his replacement is up to the job. as you say another talented rider to an already incredible field of riders.

Spies HAS actually rode the Suzuki MotoGP bike. Not this years model, but he did ride it last year. I think the biggest deal will be getting familiar with the tyres and track.

i hope he does good to but i dont think he will race for suzuki next yr, they are only racing 2 bikes, i think he will ride for ducati or yamaha, but what ever he does he will be at least a top 10, maybe higher, i hope to see a win or 2 but im hopeful for him, good luck ben !!!!!!!!
