Raiders improved how much?

So with the draft over, the QB contract in the past, McFadden signed, and the off season trades done, how much do you think the Raiders have helped themselves? Enough to go over .500 for the season, or are we looking at a 2 -14 or 4-12 season?

Just educated answers appreciated. No trolls, rants or bias please.

Update:

Added: Riders Head Coach, Kiffin, said that Russels weight gain of 300 lbs. is greatly exagerated. I have seen pictures of him during mini-camps, and he still looks like he did on draft day, to me.

I'm still expecting nothing more than a 6 win season and thats being optomistic. I dont think they made any huge additions, Mcfadden will be interesting to watch play and it will be interesting to see what Russel really has in him, but apart from that, they spent like 3/4 of their cap on 4 players. I just dont think they have what it takes to go over .500, but I wont be shocked if I'm wrong.

I see at least 7 wins but i think we can do better.

We have a versatile backfield and J. Russell already has a little NFL experience (From 2007) and he has been working hard this offseason.

Our secondary is improved, and will force a lot of turnovers and is capable of shutting out offenses. Remember: Defense Wins championships (But only If the offense scores enough points). But we should give offenses like the patriots a hard time going into the endzone

Lane Kiffin is going into his second season as H.C and he should correct whatever was wrong in 07...like finishing games that we could've and shouldve won.

This year is the year that we look the best going into a season from these past 5 horrible seasons so i say its okay to have some optimism!

I think they should be able to win between 4 and 6 games. They lack a quality WR and we still dont' know if Jamarcus Russell is going to be any good. McFadden looks like a great draft pick but will be an Adrian Peterson or a Ryan Leaf type pick?? A lot of question marks entering this season for Oakland. I think they have a few more years before they begin to contend for the playoffs.

I say at they win at least six games but they still need to learn how to stop the run better to take pressure of the secondary. Javon Walker is an upgrade at receiver and McFadden along with Vargas give the raider potent running attack

They have the running backs to produce some wins. I'm not sold on JaMarcus Russell yet, but he does have the arm to make big plays. I think your looking at 5-11, 6-10 team. They have improved some, but the '09 season is when I think you'll get to see them compete for a playoff spot again.

Probably not enough to go over .500 this year, but I think the Silver and Black will be much improved this year. I say as close to .500 as you can get 7-9.

YOu will really have to wait for the season to come tos ee how much better or worse the Raiders have become, but I think the draft has helped them.

the raiders look good..now that kiffen has one year under him and he knows that the defence needs work ,he will work on that during camp..the offence needs work also but with the new r.b and michael bush,,they should be fast,,i say 9-7
