it will be fairly reliable but it will not be cheap to run. consumables such as tires and brake parts are much more expensive than other vehicles.
also if it is off warranty each repair bill will be expensive
i recommend you budget a minimum of $3000 per year for maintenance and possible repair

Reliable Yes, Cheap to operate, mixed answers. Porsche's don't break down as often as most cars, but when they do, the labor is not cheap, nor are the parts. These cars are very complex and have a lot of parts on the cars. If you are looking for something to drive that is cheap all around, then consider a Toyota. They are great cars and I currently have a 996TT with very low mileage. It is a blast to drive and I do all my own work and have a very good salary. I couldn't afford to have someone else make repairs.

Not quite the same reputation and while you may get lucky and have a solid vehicle in the Porsche Cayenne, general maintenance is going to be much more expensive in the Porsche than the Nissan.

Yes it is reliable, but it uses loads of petrol! It isn't overly expensive to run, but it isn't cheap either (The insurance costs quite a lot). There is not very much room in it, but its easy to drive and its fast for the motor ways. Its worth the money and is generally a good car.

If you have to ask this question is better to not chance it. Cayennes are decent on reliability if I remember correctly, but if it does break down it will be fixing an $70K vehicle. If you can't afford that then don't look for them used.

Guzzles fuel, insurance is expensive, servicing prohibitive and the new road taxing initiative by the goverment will increase depreciation. Go like stink but are rather big and ugly.
