Do people still practice Shorthand??

Some people do, especially actors, for blocking on their scripts, because there isn't much space on it. I personally only use shorthand on scripts.. It's kinda hard to learn shorthand because it's very background right now... I only know something about it because they taught it in one of my drama classes. You can only learn shorthand for specific subjects I swear. I was really intrigued by it, after reading Dracula, unabridged by Brom Stoker. Because alot of it, was based on shorthand notes and diary entries.

I don't know about other people, but I still do. For instance. a few years ago I had taped conversations for genealogical purposes, and then played the tape back, taking down the info in shorthand. Then transcribed the shorthand and typed the info.
