iTunes-rented movie won't copy to iPod?

I've checked for new software to my Mac-run iPod(30-gig 4th gen.), and I'm up-to-date. For some odd reason, the movie I rented from iTunes won't get copied over to the iPod. Any suggestions?

Update:

I agree, The Worst Nightmare, normally, I swear by Mac products, but this whole movie thing is pissing me off. Apparently, it'll only play on iPod classics, and I have the generation RIGHT before that. I've kept on trouble-shooting, but nothing seems to work...

    itunes has done it again.

    majority of the time itunes movies/rentals are not in the format their supposed to be in. strange as it sounds.

    so that's probably why it won't copy over.

    its not in mp4 format.
