AIM for macs?
how come i cant even install it on my computer?
and last time i did, it kept closing randomly.

iChat is now the official AIM app for OS X, so AIM for Mac is no longer supported. Chances are AIM just won't work with newer versions of OS X or isn't easily translated by Rosetta (if you have an Intel Mac). Your only choice other than iChat is Adium, which is what I use. It's sort of ugly if you leave it as-is, but you can download Xtras to change anything you want about it (message styles, Dock icons, status icons, sounds, etc.).

Add your AIM account in iChat. Why don't you like it? iChat > Preferences > Accounts and click the Plus button.
If you really just hate it randomly, download the version of AOL's client here:

AIM is crap. Best to avoid anything from AOL on your Mac. Download Adium instead
Its an all in one and it has the same features as AIM
