The TomTom and Garmin Nuvi line of GPS Navigators are currently top of the line, newest technology. There is not a lot that separate the two except for the user interface and some of the extra services that are available.

You'll find that both of these are easily removed from the vehicle and some models will even mark your vehicle position automatically for you when you remove it from the mount so it makes it a lot easier to find your car in some of those bigger parking lots or areas that you're not familiar with.

It all depends on what you are looking for: simple navigation getting you from point a to point b, live traffic updates, mp3 player, bluetooth capable, multi point entry, voice recognition, etc...theres a ton of features that can make your purchase range from low $100 to $700-800.

I personally think Garmin is by far the best. It has the best route calculations to find the most efficient and accurate route in comparison to TomTom and Magellan.

If you want just a simple navigation go with the Garmin Nuvi 200

On that webpage there is a chart with all the Nuvi models and their capabilities so if you want additional features you can find the model you want. Also check out the customer reviews most of them have 4.5 out of 5 stars!!!
