I don't see where anyone can say " Change and Hope" are a new concept.......

Every election year the American people are told by the candidate running against the incumbent party in office "that change is needed " or "hope is on the horizon" or " a change of policy is necessary for success"

Take John Adams (2nd President 1797-1801 ) & Thomas Jefferson (3rd President 1801-1809) they argued about policies - Jefferson was elected over the desire to "change" Washington policy .............

Adams (lost re-election) was in favor of a strong national government & felt France was a greater concern to national security than England - while Jefferson felt the opposite was true.

The only difference this time around is the ........
