wow looks like thes guys are racists?

looks like only reason they consider voting for him is because he is black.they admit they don't like his policies or what he advocates,so looks to me it is because he is black

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080614/ap_on_el_pr/bl...

Update:

to vote for someone just because of his color is wrong,if you agreed with his policies then it wouldn't be racism

Update 2:

i was refering strictly to the people in the article who said they didn't belive in him,but were going to vote for them,i was not saying all people voting for him. if you believe his views fine, but if you don't why vote for him based on race

ugh. people like Jack E disgust me. it is wrong in SOOOOO many ways to vote for someone based on race especially if you disagree with their views and policies. it would be a form of racism. and Jack E- maybe whitey has run this country for so long because there hasn't been a candidate of another race that was QUALIFIED FOR THE POSITION!!!

    Hi there, Phil

How many people are actually mentioned in the article?

Does that small amount of people represent the whole of the American population at large?

During the early days of his campaign, Mr. Obama had been gaining support, if polls are to be believed, among white blue-collar voters, which a number of commentators on both sides of America's political divide considered an interesting development.

There are a number of reasons why people vote for a particular candidate, regardless whether they have read the manifesto or even understand the policies.

As much as my former, younger self may dislike the following argument, it is, nevertheless, an aspect of living within a democracy:

People may vote for whoever they like, for whatever reason that suits them and for no reason whatsoever if they like. And, ultimately, no matter your, or my opinion, in a free society that is what freedom is...the ability to choose.

Personally, I find it somewhat distasteful that so many take issue because many within the electorate might vote for him precisely because Mr. Obama is black.

In the UK, the traditional vote among many black communities has been the Labour Party, whether the party deserves that loyalty or not.

That people vote with their emotions, their hopes or the ideals is the way of the world.

The easiest way to test the theory would be to assemble some people who represent a cross section of the public. Have them read something with the positions of both candidates without letting them know who said what. Then see who they choose. Then ask them who they planned to vote for.

Well, some of them said they wouldn't so can't lump them all in that category.

And to the post above, the prejudices of each one of the groups you mentioned are also apparent as well, or have you failed to notice?

Whatever. More people are NOT voting for him because he's black... &&& That's the truth.
