How much to re-plumb bathroom?
I have a horrible bathroom! The toilet wont flush, the shower doesn't drain the way it should (backs up), when the shower does drain; it does so all over the bathroom floor. We have had plumbers look at it and have been told we need to replumb our bathroom. We were quoted around $700, is this reasonable? Will it be a horrible job that cheap or am I being overcharged?

Like any major home improvement, get 3 estimates, talk openly about what you need/want and what the plumbers recommend to accomplish your desires.
Many people would suggest going with the middle estimate.
$700 sounds really inexpensive, watch out for that guy!
Is he licensed and insured? Does he carry workmans comp insurance for his employees?
You could talk to your local plumbing inspector about the job as well, and he will offer some advice as well.

Honestly, I think the reason you may have been quoted that "great" price is you might have simply lucked up and found a contractor between jobs and hungry! Happened to me with a tiler for my bathroom. That doesn't sound bad at all. But be sure like Jim W said to get everything they're going to do "IN WRITING" and a bond for the job and make sure you also check them out with the BBB in your area! If that is the average price you were quoted from every plumber you spoke with, go for it. If not, keep looking. Good luck. Dealt with many a bath in my time.

At the quoted price, I'd have them do it today. If they are a good competent contractor. Also get a firm contract and a performance bond from the plumber. THis sounds like too cheap to pass up.

$700 sounds cheap to me for a replumb but they may be planning to just do a new toilet and new shower pan, that would be around 700 in oregon area

It doesn't sound like that much but I'd get opinions and estimates from at least three different plumbers. And don't tell any of them what the others said. Let them give you an opinion based on what they find. It may just need a good rotor rootering.

who's utilising the lavatory at the same time as you bathe ???? at the same time as the lavatory is flushed, there's a huge quantity of water flow, which reduces regular water stress. verify the water stress interior the line, and many properties have a stress regulator close to the major shutoff. it will be adjusted. typically the availability line is decreased from 3/4 " to at least a million/2" top after the shutoff. that's fairly undemanding to position in a a million/2" take off top on the three/4" line, then run it for the lavatory chilly water circuit. typically, the completed living house is plumbed lower back to the nice and comfy water tank on a million/2" line. you could develop the feed line to three/4" and and use a manifold for a million/2" takeoffs. this may also be a physically powerful time to develop the chilly water line to the nice and comfy water tank to three/4", or use a committed a million/2" line from the three/4" major shutoff. you could also limit the water flow to the lavatory. even notwithstanding the lavatory will fill slower, this is going to shrink 'bathe wonder'. set up a low-flow ability effective bathe head, and a temperature mushy/adjustable bath/bathe tap. the completed premise is to shrink stress and flow regulations to each equipment, thereby increasing the perfect stress and flow charges at each equipment.
