YIKES BAD THING WHEN THAT HAPPENS

    ok

the most porbably reason is because the bird isnt comfortable living there, either its tressed out(lack of sleep)

or its not getting attention, or the environment its living just isnt what it wants

when they pull out their feathers its like a sign of giving up, if he continues to do this, they can eventually become permantently removed and never grow back

also birds, when they reach a level of stress, they just give up and can die kinda randomly so watch out

    either that or its molting

maybe she is bored. When birds aren't allowed out of their cage, the cage is too small, or the bird either has no toys or is bored with the ones she has they will pull the feathers out. there is a possibility that she has lice, or mites. it might be best if you take her to the vet, just to be on the safe side. it's hard to tell, as there isn't enough info. although she could just have dry skin.

Edit: i agree with Ocent cents.

first, get some aloe vera juice, not the gel, mix it 1/2 & 1/2 with water, spray the bird liberally with it, it will sooth & heal her up, you can get the juice from the health food store, now she is either bored or sick, or not eating the right food, if you have a vet that treats birds, get her to see him or her.

also, my bird loves to watch tv, she likes cartoons so i keep the tv on nickelodion for her, i turn it off at nite so she can sleep.

my friends bird pulled its feathers because she wasn't spending enough time with her. if you changed your schedule it may be stressed about you not spending time with her/him.
