God knows the end of all things then why Lucifer was created?
Bible reveals creation, fall and redemption of mankind yet does not reveal why Lucifer was created. Since God knows the end of things why then He created Lucifer knowing there was a possibility that this angel would fall and in his fall he'd drag 1/3 of the population of heaven not to mention billions of human beings? His fall would also require God to fight with Satan in the dispute of men's hearts for almost 7 thousand years, show mercy in letting His Son become man, be tempted, slayed, rise from dead and ascend back to Heaven and later come again in glory to take His chosen... why the trouble?

In giving all of His creations free will, that risk was there for EVERY creation He ever made. It wasn't just Lucifer where there was risk involved. God knew that in order to show all His creations that free will was theirs, ultimately they would, at some point, have to use the free will in the wrong way. They could think "He just makes the rules - but He doesn't have to live by them, because He makes them".
Without question other creations of God NOW know that not only does God MAKE the rules, He also lives by the rules He made, and loves every creation He ever made - even though they err. Christ will always bear the wounds He took on the cross. They show His love to us forever.
Take for example, when Peter said that Christ would pay taxes.
Matthew 17:24-27 "When they had come to Capernaum, those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?”
He said, “Yes.” And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?” Peter said to Him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you.”
Jesus, by every right, was the next earthly king of Jerusalem. His bloodline determined it. He should not have been required to pay such taxes. But even Jesus picked his fights - and He owned the cattle on a thousand hills. Money is not worth arguing over. They took the rules and twisted them to earn more. Even He lived on this planet, and in every way while on His sojourn on this earth, He abided by both human laws and God's laws.
No matter what, the question would arise from those who have any form of thought in their minds "He says that we have free will - but do we really? He always knows what I'm doing."
None of us know how long Lucifer was a covering cherub before his descent, or how long it took for his pride to overcome him. But consider this: when a man and wife come together, and have a beautiful relationship for a while, and then ultimately divorce, would they regret their time together because of the divorce? Not many would, especially if there are children involved.
Jesus took the trouble for all this because these questions had to be answered. Perhaps, in creating Lucifer, the least number of angels would fall, and the least amount of creations would be destroyed. How could He explain why one person dies on a planet full of those who obey? But of those who sin, it is easier to see the consequences of sin. It is easier to see where sin leads, and why it is so much better to just obey.
It's a hard task to govern free will, but ultimately, no matter what, the question would be asked and someone would test it. If it wasn't Lucifer it would have been someone else.
You see also, even though it was prophecied, Satan still encouraged the people to kill Jesus. The guy could have stopped it. I mean, really - he could have whispered that Jesus was the son of God in their ears, so that every thought going through their minds was that Jesus is in fact Messiah. That would have proven God DOESN'T know the end from the beginning, when centuries before this occurred, the Bible testifies to everything about Christ's death - from the beatings to the form of execution to casting lots for His clothing at the foot of the cross, and even the DATE all this would happen. So God showed that not only does He give His creation free will, but that He also knows long before they do what they do, that He knows what's going on. Satan could have gotten at the minds of these people who cast lots for Jesus' clothing and had them not do it. He even knew that He would die long enough before Sabbath that they would not have to break His bones for him to die quicker. You say "well that one's easy - He's the giver of life, so all He has to do is take away breath" That may be so, except for one fact - in doing all this He had to bear every sin. 3 hours of complete darkness on the cross, and ultimately, separation from God the Father and from God the Holy Spirit. God turned His face from His own Son before any of us. He proved and continues to prove that He knows the end from the beginning.
God's a smart One. He gives the least amount possible for the highest return. Will there be any doubt in the minds of His other creations that He loves them just as much as He loves us? Certainly not. He would have done it for any of the worlds He created. But ultimately we are the ones who both teach them AND who learn the hard way.
