Because in a marriage, you are supposed to leave your mother and father and CLEAVE to your wife.

Wow, my ex is lucky then. He gets babied something horrible. Especially when we were married. His grandmother had custody of him and she'd constantly call to ask him if I was taking good care of him. One night I had work late (got a promotion). He never worked because his nan told him he shouldn't have to, lol. I came in and she was there making him dinner. She goes "What kind of wife are you? He was starving! Now I'm going to stay here until you do these dishes so I know you're not making him live in filth!" LOL. I told her if she didn't leave, I'd have no problem throwing an elderly woman out of my home. And if she was so concerned, she could take her lazy grandson home with her.

    Some people, I swear.

    Hope that brightened everyone's day!

You might as well ask why men pee standing up but women sit down. It's just the way we're made.

Because women, generally, are closer to their parents than men. There are certainly exceptions to this "rule".

In my family, it's true for almost all of us, except one man who was always very close with his mom.

For my mother, she simply disliked my dad's family. My husband also dislikes his family so we are closer with mine, who are very loving and open.
