For Those With PS3 and 360?

I just bought my PS3 and noticed more then a couple of notable downsides such as not being able to output audio from both HDMI and Optical at the same time, this is a real inconvenience as its not always appropriate to play using my 1000watt receiver. I also noticed that when using media streaming the PS3 is far less lenient then 360 for video files. Does anyone know any others so that I can pop an email over to Sony for a firmware update.

Update:

Using HDMI optical is outputted from a different adapter (included with the 360 Elite). It is convenient to not have to change this setting every time I want to turn my receiver off. A lot of files also do not simply work, possibly unsupported resolutions of qpixel variations, the nitty gritty of it is my Family Guy collection in XVID works on 360 and not on the PS3 unless I use winamp remote.

Wait a minute we have both the 360 and ps3

For optical out you have to goto settings and then audio then select optical out. Leave video at hdmi. WHen you want audio from hdmi just got settings and switch the Optical out to hdmi for audio even though the optical is still plugged in. Why would you have both hdmi and optical audio out at the same time. It seems very redundant and that it would cause serious OS-BIOS conflicts.

The 360 we still had to switch the settings for audio as well, when using the receiver instead of the tv.

Videos we have had no problems the ps3 plays all formats including dvix.
