I'm trying to pick out a name for my Golden Retriever Puppy?

It is a Female, and All our animals have always had S names, Our favorite so far is Sienna What do you think? Any other suggestions?

We are also thinking of Zoe because we sadly lost our precious Golden Sophie and this was her name before we adopted her at 5 months old and changed it, It means Life and we thought that would be a good way to remember her. But it is not an S name.

So what do you like better we are also open to other suggestions for S names.

Thanks!

Update:

We also like Sierra, and Sammy is our Rat terriers name.

So between Sienna and Sierra which one?

Sierra or Sandy might work. Soooo sorry about Sophie/Zoe.

    :)

  • I love Sienna, and would probably go with that, but here's a few other suggestions. :) Though, also something to think about, is that, while Sienna is a pretty name, it is not 'hard' enough for most dogs, in ways of hearing, the sounds can often blend to sound like others, in the same way Hermione, Ron, Dawn, Mira and Amara aren't 'hard' names.

Easier names for dogs to hear, are those with distinctive 'hard' sounds, like, Zo-EE, MaggIE, LadY, ThYme, SaGe (Sage), CHewIE (Chewie).

So while Sienna is a pretty name, Zoe would be easier for your dog to respond to. I don't know if you plan on teaching your dog obedience or not, but it's something to think about when choosing a name!

    Saber

    Sapphire

    Secret

    Silence

    Sparrow

    Spirit

(Saber, Secret, Silence, Sparrow and Spirit are all good 'hard' names, Sapphire is a little soft)
