flying isn't scary!! if you're worried about safety, relax, it will be fine. so many flights go on everyday, in fact a ton of them are probably occurring right now.

if you're worried about taking off, landing (and that weird feeling you get in your stomach), the best is to not think about it and think about how pretty the view will be once you get up there. try to concentrate your attention on stuff like bothering the person next to you, reading a magazine, etc.

you can get up and walk to the bathroom once in awhile if you feel like you're getting a headache, and while you're up on the plane, you won't see anything except clouds and it can be quite relaxing, listen to calming music and you'll be fine.

don't worry and have fun :]

and i'm a nyc native, so i'm gonna tell you ny is awesome. ignore what the guy above said, it is very safe. have fun in ny and on the plane :)!!.

Sure, it could be a little scary the first time you get on a plane. But actually it's very safe. They check and double check the planes before take off all the time. You don't hear any planes going down, do you? No, only in the movies. Don't worry about it hon, you've got a better chance of getting stuck by lightning then you have troubles flying on a airplane..Go to New York and have a marvelous time!

omg im going to new york in a week to, lol nxt monday

but ive been on a plane hundreds of times

its not scary, my first time i was under a year so i dont remeber but its not scary

um we nu take off its kinda loud n ears can hurt, but more wen ur landing

um during gthe flight its like normal watever u feel normal sitting down

if u get up to go to the bathroom, its kinda like wobbly but ok, n in the bathroom its kinda shaky too

turbulence is wen the plane like shakes a lil, they tell uto sit down, n put on ur seatbelt its just shaking nothin too bad, if theres a tv on ur flight like on frontier, then itll stop working during turbulence

um sum flights still give free drinks n a snack, but on sum now u have to pay it sux lol

um wen u r like about to land a lot of ppl get earaches like me, chew gum n use earplugs if ur ears start to hurt

    n thats it!

if u have any questions email me, ima flying expert lol

n remember its really safe, safer then driving

    :)

No it's very comfortable and very relaxing. It's the safest way to travel. And about you going into New York, I recommend carrying a knife with you. Never know what creepers could be there but overall New York is a great place. :D

Nope - it is just like sitting at home in an easy chair with your tv or game boy in front of you. Go for it.

Source(s): As an add on - do NOT carry a knife with you on the plane as spitball said as you could go to jail!
