Pet land and similar type pet stores what happens to the pets that don't sell?

The price they charge for a dog when you can get one for free at the SPCA is terrible. The one at the SPCA would likely be healthier and not from some puppy mill. They say there is a sucker born every day. But that’s not my question. In any store there are always some things that don't sell. What happens to the dogs and cats that don’t sell in Pet land?

It almost never happens. Some sucke will buy them if the price gets low enough. Barring that, they are sent back to the broker, who sends them to the auctions where they become the next generation of poorly bred, mentally tortured breeding stock.

Some times they are sold to research labs or they sell them back to the breeder as breed dogs.....either way they lead a miserable life.

    They most likely euthanize them.
