We all know Jesus was a practicing Jew. Let's say, he is reincarnated, what do you think (see details )?

his reaction would be to all the Christians who try to convert him and attempt to entice him to abandon his Jewish belief??

Update:

One who is a practicing Jew ( as Christians know and remind Jews that Jesus was) would also know that only God is a savior and that Torah tells explicitly God is not a man. Therefore, either Christians do not wish to truly believe Jesus was practicing Judaism in a Torah observant manner, honoring God's precepts, or they don't understand that a believing Jew would know that the Messiah will be a human.

I wonder now if some may get why Jews think it is absurd to remind us that Jesus was a Jew that practiced Judaism. If he was, he certainly wouldn't see himself as a deity! If he thought himself a deity, he was apostate to Judaism and sinning.

A great many Christians on FIRST introduction to a Jew sometimes make offers to convert away from Judaism. That is the behavior I am asking about.

Update 2:

Add Details..I am giving a hypothetical based on assumption that a messiah hopeful named Jesus actually lived. I don't believe his life was as depicted in the NT, but I do think if he existed and he was believed by anyone in his lifetime to be a messiah hopeful, he had to have been a practicing Jew.

Update 3:

ggentry : Reincarnation was a widespread belief in that day in Judah and the Galilee. Jesus would have most likely believed in it if he was Jewish. If he wasn't Jewish there isn't any point in thinking one a messiah hopeful.

Update 4:

If Jesus believed himself to be a deity, he was not a practicing Jew, hence, that alone woud disqualify him from consideration as Mosiach.

This Q is leaving me with another Q, mama...

did so many people really fail to understand your Q,

or do so many simply *wish* to misundertand your Q?

A great attempt on your behalf, anyway!

BTW, I rather think his reaction to attempts to convert him from Judaism would make *us* look like mild mannered sheep, if their own writings regarding his temperment are anything approaching or similar to actuality.

A great and thought provoking post, mama_pajama :)

Unfortunately, many Christians seem to have been taught that Jesus was 'totally against Judaism'. This is not the case - Jesus sought to reform SOME aspects of Judaism but he himself was ALWAYS an observant and practising Jew. Hence his stand AGAINST divorce, which was stricter than many of his fellow Jews at that time.

If Jesus came back he would be HORRIFIED at the way *some* Christians patronise Jews, continually pressure us to abandon our faith, and he would certainly ABHOR the lies of the Messianics when they practise Christianity while lying and claiming to be 'jews'.

Jesus replaced into not the messiah by way of fact: a million) He did not deliver international peace; hatred, intolerance, and conflict will give up to exist (Isaiah 2:4); needless to say, there is not any international peace. This communicate board on my own is sufficient to illustrate that there is not any tolerance. 2) Predatory beasts will now not seek for prey, and agriculture will deliver forth supernatural abundance (11:6 - 11:9); needless to say, animals nevertheless seek for prey. 3) all the Jewish human beings will return from their exile between the international locations to Israel, and the regulation of the Jubilee would be re-instated. (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 23:8; 30:3; Hosea 3:4-5). needless to say, all Jews are actually not in Israel. 4) The Messiah would be a great political chief, descended from the homestead of David. (Jeremiah 23:5) Jesus replaced into by no ability a political chief of any style. He replaced into in basic terms descended from David by using a valid line on his mom's ingredient, however the mum does not confirm homestead association; the daddy does. If Jesus replaced into Joseph's son, then he replaced into of the discredited line you point out. If he replaced into God's son, as Christians declare, he HAD no homestead, as God has no homestead. 5) The Messiah would be a great non secular chief, properly-versed in Judaism, and observant of ALL its commandments. (Isaiah 11:2-5). Jesus went so a ways as to declare a minimum of one commandment touching directly to divorce as null and void. 6) Sacrifices would be made in the temple; those would be constrained to thanksgiving alternatives, as there will be no further elect for expiatory alternatives. (Zephaniah 3:13) by way of fact the temple at modern-day is destroyed, it somewhat is obviously not occurring. If he did not meet even between the prophecies, he's not the Messiah; Jesus did not meet MANY, and so a ways as we Jews are in touch, replaced into in basic terms a effective, youthful Jewish guy (and not a "rabbi") who tried to coach Judaism one 0 one to the plenty.

Haha, that's a good thought. But, Christians believe he's god, and why would anyone mess with god like that? And Jesus would do what he does best. Teach the word of god and prove to all he is real.

the difference in Jews and Christians is that Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Savior. Jesus would know that He is the Savior. Silly question.

We do not "all know that Jesus was a practicing Jew." Some of us know that Jesus is a fictional character.

Jesus was a jew but he was agaisnt the judaism.. but he kept many jewish ideas according to the gospels.. so Jesus preached a judaism very spiritual.. but saint paul made a different between judaism and the church of christ.. jesus gave to the apostles to preach his ideas... so the church shouldn't forget the jewish part.. as catholic christian.. I believe jewish people are our Big Brothers in Faith...we are connected to them.. through Jesus.. the jew man...

Jesus started christianity not knowing it would become so separated from judaism. Just a theory.

Are you suggesting that people would try to convert him into following ... himself? Hmm ... I don't think that question makes a ton of sense honestly.
