I don't really record anything Dreamer, everything on Sky's always repeated at some point anyway, I do still have a video though, it's in the kids room so they can watch videos, not that they do, it's DVDs for them, i'll hang on to it anyway, it'll probably be worth a fortune soon enough, like betamax and record players! pmsl

We are still using videos Dreamer although we have recently bought a new tv where we can video on the hard drive but haven't sussed it yet!! Unfortunately our area is a very poor reception area and a freeview box doesn't work as we would have to pay something like £250 for a new aerial but as we are moving it isn't worth it. So we have 4 channels only plus channel 5 which is hazy!!

I have Sky+ and also a DVD recorder..
I would 100% recommend sky+ it's awesome - way better than a DVD Recorder - Don't need discs etc. etc. and you can record two things at once.. One of the best things I have ever bought.

yes, im still using the vhs player....me, mum and sister can share programmes thatwaybut we cant if we have a dvd recorder can we?, i would love to get sky+, but the price they are asking for is disgusting £99 for installlation ppphhhuuuttt!
ivr been with sky since day one and ive tried barting with them but they wont budge on the price.
so on principle im sticking with the good old vhs for now.

i watch DVD's but i use my VHS to play them through because i still have an old coaxial cable tv, i also use my VHS to record from the tv and as a channle changer, jeez there very versatile arnt they, i worked out the cost if i was going to upgrade to a better sytem, it would cost me over $3000 to do it, so i think i'll hang on to my trusty old VHS for a bit longer.

ive got the virgin media version of sky+ and a dvd recorder...
but i still say that vhs is the most reliable format for recording..it might not give u the perfect visual, but at the pro's outway the cons...
keep vhs alive!!!!
