i am stuck with either taking us airways or american which one should i choose and y plz say sum pros and cons

Some of my worst traveling experiences have been on American, but I haven't been on USAirways that much! I'm sure that they can be just as bad!

Let me tell you an "American" story...Years ago, I was on a small plane from Indianapolis to Chicago, as the first hop of a long journey. The plane hit really bad (AND I DO MEAN BAD) turbulence on the way. The plane dropped! And dropped! People were screaming and praying out loud! The folks had been served drinks and their drinks flew out of their hands all over the plane. The overhead bins opened and stuff fell out. When the plane was finally stable, the folks onboard were covered in drinks and luggage. The flight attendants were nowhere to be seen! I always carry a roll of paper towels and a roll of toilet paper in my carry-on when I am going out of the country, so I passed them to the other fliers. Then I, and a couple of other passengers, went down the aisles to put the luggange back into the overhead. When the plane landed, the pilot, flight crew, and attendants did not come out to tell us "good bye." They stayed in the pilot's cabin.

My husband said I should complain, so I wrote a letter to American which contained the Flight # and date. I received a letter back from them that there was no such filght on that date!

I guess they would rather forget about it, too!

Find out which of the two airlines have a HUB of Operation at that terminal (airport) Some airlines just fly into an airport and other have a hub. Meaning they have there own ground crew , mechanics and fuel there. Make them cheaper to fly with. Different Airlines have there hubs in different city's so prices change depending on the city.

just flew with US couple months ago - they had the best price and everything else was what you expect - flight on-time, pleasant crew. Destroyed my suitcase though, although nothing lost and there is a claim in process.

If you want to check a bag, take US. American is now charging $15 to check even one bag.
