Virginia beach?? north or south? whats some other attractions? or other beaches in virgina?

Ok my fieance works for the power company and we are near virginia beach. We made one trip down and went to the north side.... So my question for my next trip. Which is better north or south? any need to see attractions? And is there any other beaches in virginia that would be good to visit?

    The north shore along the bay is tame and quiet...compared to the "resort" area on the Atlantic. Very busy at the resort area.

    Talk a nice nature walk at First Landing State Park in VB. The Cape Henry Lighthouse is just around the corner from the park and worth a quick visit too.

    But let's hope you like early American history. The Hampton Roads area is where it all started. Lots of museums and old buildings in Norfolk and Hampton, but especially in Williamsburg and Jamestown. You must get a tourbook of the area. If you're a member of AAA, their tourbook is tops for all the little sites to visit. If not, stop at any bookstore and pick up a tourbook.
