I am a new cook at a daycare center and I was wondering about cooking new foods, what are the kids favorites?
Do you have any suggestions?

Not only should you be considering what they like, you also have to consider nutritious value since that is the main goal of schools and daycare centers; to provide the children with healthy hearty meals.
Kids favorites are usually pizza, macaroni & cheese, chicken nuggets, chicken fingers, and spaghetti & meatballs. I would really suggest that you purchase The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals cookbook (which you can order online) because I purchased the book for my children and it is really amazing! I've gotten them to eat healthier, without them actually realizing it.. which is significant when working at day care because some children may be picky about those healthy foods such as veggies!

From experience things like Meatloaf, Shepherds Pie, Spaghetti Bolognese, Pasta Bake, Lasagna, Roast Meat and Veg are usually the kids favourites.
Try and sneak in as many Veg as possible as they often wont eat them on their own...

chicken fingers and fries... any finger foods... bland food... but try to stick with the food guide. Give them a variety of items.. children need to be exposed to a food approx. 25 times before they will attempt to try something that they are unsure of. hope this helps :)
