Difference between "I Love You" and "Love You"?

I've been told there's quite a big difference about these two. Sometimes the BF will say "love you" .. but that doesn't mean he feels less, does it?

What're your guys' opinions?

I think I understand. You can love someone very deeply but the love may not be reciprocated. That is why the term in love is followed by the word "with". It becomes mutual. It is also possible to love someone and not be in love with them. In some ways loving someone is very much deeper than being in love, as being in love requires (to me anyway) the presence of very deep passions, an almost physical drawing towards the other person and constant thought of them - Your man has a lot of stuff deep down inside him you should try and understand. Remember Prince Charles' famous line when asked if he was in love and he made the comment "whatever that is" - he was not in love with Diana - I doubt he really knew how to love her because he knew she wasn't the "keeper" he needed. I do not think you are the "keeper" for your man and I do not think he is your "keeper" - but he could be - if you are able to discover what he means by love - because I do not think he knows what it is; and if he does have an idea of what it is, it is definitely not the same definition as yours. In your situation I would think this had the makings of a long term friendship and no more. There is the bacon but there sure isn't the sizzle!

I consider them to be the same, or ma be the love you might be stronger as the emotions may prevent the use of I.

meanings are different for different people!

I love you = I really do love you and will stay with you forever

Love you = I love you, or i'm just too lazy to say one simple letter

Don't worry my fiance says "Love You" all the time

I guess saying "I love you" sounds a little more genuine and has more meaning to it than "love you." When I think of some one saying "love you," I think of someone saying it for the sake of saying it. But when someone says "I love you," it tends to have more meaning to it.

I Love you- is much more personal

Without the "I", it could mean anything. It could be muffled if you don't really mean it, and you say that on more of a friend level

Love you is when someone is in a rush but still a nice gesture

i love you means you are more sincere and have time

    well theres a huge difference

love you jsut seems casual and something that friends would say to each other or people who dont really care and dont take the time to say the i..

the i seems like more of a commitment...

hard to explain but it just does

and both those are very different from...im in love with you...:)

I Love You; Means that that special person loves youu.

Love You; Means just a friend.

    Thats my opinion. :)
