Your thoughts on law!?

Countrys and persons have created the term "LAW" to intimitade and keep others of less might and strength and power under their controll. The laws are always used by the powerful with money to dominate and control and keep others doing what they wish them to do! Laws protect the wealthy in life. Perhaps we should do away with most laws, except for road-laws, stealing and molesting and muder. Only keep guidelines for the people to have a level system of curteosy. Unless one does something against another person or animal then, they should just be reprimanded, I feel. I think there are two many rules in the world for a free world to abide with and live with. We do not need government to control us; we need government to 'Protect' us! Then they should step out of our way(s)! Your thoughts?

VERY bad idea. Most people these days believe laws were made to be broken, or "it's not illegal unless you get caught." Laws are made for the protection of the masses, and individual human beings have proven time and time again that they cannot be relied upon to exercise even the smallest amount of "courtesy." Give human beings too much leeway and you'll get to the point where the masses believe they're entitled to do whatever they want, when and wherever they want, to whomever they want, with no regard for anyone other than themselves or anything other than their own selfish motives. Heck, it's already happening -- there's a large movement in the U.S. that believes the individual should be allowed to decide what is right and what is wrong for him/her based on his/her thoughts and feelings at the time. It's a load of B.S. People want the freedom but not the responsibility that goes with it. They want to have someone or something else they can point their finger at for blame. BOTTOM LINE: Human nature is NOT inherently good -- it's inherently selfish, and selfishness left unchecked, unregulated, or un-controlled leads to all the evils in the world. The only proven way to keep that in check is to have a system of laws and penalties for breaking those laws.

That government which least governs is the best government is a famous adage. But, you cannot totally wish away the State which is necessary for regulating and controlling the lives of the humans and the society. Another factor should be kept in mind. As Karl Marx found, the modern society is basically exploitative. Whoever controls the means of production, controls power. They wield power over the working class or the poor who do not have the means to assert themselves. Despite the fall of the Communist nations like the USSR, Bulgaria and East Europe, one cannot lose sight of the fundamental fairness in Marxism. Our society world wide continues to be exploitative and the more privileged continue to exploit the prevailing situation to their best advantage.

Laws do not take away your freedoms. They protect your freedoms from those that would take it a away. Your freedom ends when it imposes upon anothers.
