How do you solve this algebra expression problem?
Ok I dont understand how to solve this problem
2xyz+5
if
x=2
y=3
z=4
I dont understand how you multiply all that variables at once
could some one please explain to me how to answer this problem
It is quite difficult for me because I skipped pre-algebra and do not quite remember how to solve these types of problems

2xyz+5
2xyz + 5
= (2 × x × y × z)+(5) ---------- substitute values of x, y and z
= (2 × 2 × 3 × 4) + 5
= 48 + 5
= 53

When there is no sign between numbers/variables, that implies multiplication. So your equation could be written 2*x*y*z+5. You know the values of the variables, so you just substitute those values for the corresponding letter. The equation now looks like: 2*2*3*4+5
You perform multiplication before addition and you can do the multiplication steps one at a time. 2*2=4, so that answer times the next number. 4*3=12, then that answer times the next 12*4=48, and then complete the addition, 48+5=53.

Well first you plug in all the numbers:
2(2)(3)(4)+5,
then you multiply first: 2*2=4*3=12*4=48
Once you get that which equals 48 in this case, then you add the 5 which is going to come out to be 53.
But remember you have to multiply first then add. O.K.

It helps if you put each term in brackets
So instead of
2xyz+5
You can have
(2)(x)(y)(z)+(5)
We can now sub the numbers in you've already got, thus giving us
(2)(2)(3)(4)+5
If terms are next to each other with no sign it means to multiply them.
You don't need to do all the multipications at once either.
For example you could do:
((2)(2))((3)(4))+5
or
(2*2)(3*4)+5
this simplifies down to
(4)(12)+5
which then again simplifies to
(48)+5
which finally equals
53.

2xyz+ 5
subbing in the values of xyandz
2 X 2 X 3 X 4 + 5
just multiply them one at a time
4X 3 X 4 +5
12 X 4 +5
48+ 5
53
remember PEMDAS?? parenthesis exponents multiplication addition then subtraction thats the order to go in

Replace each variable by its value:
2(2)(3)(4) + 5
Multiply: 2*2*3*4 = 4*3*4 = 12*4 =48
48 + 5
53

the answer is 53. you want to multiply 2 times 2, 3, and 4 then take that answer then add 5 to that.

the thing is wen there is a problem like that its mostly multiplication so just do 2x2x3x4=48 and then add the 5= 53

2x2=4
4x3=12 etc. you just multiply 2 and the multiply the answer times the next #

it does not matter in which order you multiply them!
2(2)(3)(4)+5
it is saying 2x2x3x4+5
you just need to do the short math it is nice and easy!
53
