In general you are responsible for everything related to the house expect for taxes, which means the lawn care is your responsibility unless its written into the lease plus all utilities

It depends on what part of the country the house is located.

In the dry, desert areas the landlord will sometimes offer to pay the water bill to ensure the lawns and shrubs are maintained. In most other parts of the country, you will be paying the water bill.

Most of the time (in the US) the tenant pays for water when renting a private home.
