Time for the world to take its medicine. Any predictions on the death toll? Im thinking 9-10 digits globally, mainly through starvation and disease.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were actively trying to bring it about.
In Germany in the twenties, they weren't interested in the inflation rate or public sector borrowing etc. They wanted someone who would feed them and look as if they were restoring order.
And they got Hitler. Likewise here, we would probably end up with a single European dictator. Why do you think they want a single flag, army and currency?
All that centralized power is frightening. And coupled with super computers, a single currency would bring us into subjugation, with no rights, and bang into a federal super state.
If you think I'm kidding, ever since Maastricht in 92, they have by stealth been trying to push disguised federalism onto us. The Irish have seen sense and rejected it. However, since when did the unelected beaurocrats in Brussels and Strasbourg ever give a toss about single nation states?

A quick look back to 1929-1933 should give you some idea that we are very resilient

Oh its coming. And those who laugh will be crying very soon. Not to be religious but what we are seeing is the wrath of Creator. From economic collapses to food shortages to the loss of cities and areas like the USA recent bad storms and China's quakes.
We have just started and its going to get much worse. You will need to increase your number guess to more like 50.
Its actually basic math if people grasp that. Our economy is like a scale. One side credit, one side cash. Well we have lived on the credit side far too long. In turn, the scale falls over. And that is what we are about to see, worldwide.
If you know how to plant food, I'd be planting. If you know how to jar and can, get too it. Otherwise I'd be buying bare basics to eat to get you through till least the end of next years growing season. The 1930's depression is going to look like a kids pool that spilled over compared to what we are about to see.
I more or less shut my own business down 2 years ago to start thinking, researching and planning for what is coming. Gave up my business after 11 yrs.

well i can stop worrying about my oppressive credit card debt. and i was just going to buy tomatoe seeds today but forgot. I did get a book on ancient painting and how to make paint with ash and charcoal, should be plenty ash around. Guess I better get more than tomatoe seeds, some peppers and maybe a zuchini plant.

I hope so. The world is overpopulated and the earth cannot take too much more abuse. Humans are like a bacterial infection and an economic collapse is like penicillin.
