how to get melted plastic lid out of dishwasher on the heat thing?
I know i just asked as ? a day ago about how to unclog the rinse aid compartment on a dishwasher and now a lid slid throught and got melted. I have washed plastic bowls and lids in there before and never had a problem but now i will not be doing that anymore!

I would use a plastic scraper and scrape as much as possible off the heating element. It might stink the first time you use the heater but maybe if you use the dishwasher a few times without the dry cycle at the end it will clean it off. We never use our dry cycle anyway, however I know that element is used to heat the water also.
