Jesus was killed by the Romans, yet said no one takes my life i lay it down that you may believe.

many of the prophets were killed Foxes book of Martyrs, From Able to Zechariah. A=Z

and Jeremiah was put into prison by the Jewish people for telling them they were doing wrong.

Dear Jesus by your precious blood bind satan from my friend here, and loose your Holy Spirit in truth peace of heart and mind, and help her to see beyond himself, and rest in you in the midst of all of this, in your precious name Jesus, amen.

Give him hope as Paul had in the worst of times, locked in prison for life for preaching the gospel, yet he wrote there Philippians 4 prayer, peace and power (verse 13) with contentment and joy evermore.

Help them to see the big picture which is difficult in difficult times, thank you Jesus, amen

Christianity comes from the Greek word for Messiah 'Cristos'

it means a follower of the Messiah (both Jews and gentiles are included that believe)

Messiah if you believe it came as Jewish and it did come from Judaism and all the first believers and writers of the New Testament/covenant as promised were Jewish.

they do believe the Messianic Jew as also they believes the truth, other than Rabbi Schneerson Messianics and Reformed that think they are the Messianic age.

I am a Jew and I didnt understand my own religion, only the orthodox really read the Jewish scriptures and mainly only the Torah 5 books of Moses.

    At my Bar Mitzvah I got a copy of our Jewish Tenach as a gift, and in it I found the truth;

Isaiah 7:14 teaches a young maiden (and in every case used that young Alma maiden is a virgin) will have a sign and born will be God with us (Imanuel from the Hebrew). what would be the miracle if a regular woman by regular birth bore God with us?

Isaiah 9:5& 6 "Unto us a child was to be born, a son given, and he will be the MIGHTY GOD, the wonderful counselor, the everlasting father and the prince of peace."

Isaiah 52:13-53:12 He will be made very high, but first he will be marred more than any man, and will be REJECTED and lay down his life as a lamb to forgive our sins."

Moses showed the way for this too Leviticus 17:11 there is no forgiveness of sins/atonement without a blood sacrifice.

Jeremiah promised a new covenant 31:31

So some Jewish people do believe our Jewish Scriptures which holds the true Jewish religion.

while there are orthodox that have claimed Rabbi Schneerson is the Messiah, but he was born in Europe, the Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem

"Out of you Bethelehem, though you are small amongst Israel, shall come forth one from Eternity."

yet Bethlehem, it is a city in Israel given to the PLO so if Yeshua/Jesus and Rabbi Schneerson arent the Messiah, our Messiah will be a PLO Arab.

Most non Messianic Jews today reject Daniel the Jewish prophet writing about hell and heaven

"They shall arise from the earth to everlasting life or everlasting abhorance." Daniel 12:2

I was taught by my Jewish mother Jesus is a liar and to have nothing to do with him. Yet I learned the truth and i prayed as he asks us to do too and recieved him as my Messiah and best friend when he states from heaven

'I love you and ask you to repent from your sins and let me in, to be your friend"

I prayed "Help me Messiah, come into my heart, forgive my sins and be my friend, amen."

Now life is a happy day for me and I am glad as a Jew I came to believe the Messiah for all the world, David

The only records we have of Prophets being killed in Israel was at the time of King

Ahab, but because of his pagan wife Jezebel who ordered and instigated the execution of several of the Prophets.

Jesus himself was arrested and killed by the

Romans. At that time, coincidentally, a Jewish custom was in shock with a Roman policy.

The Jewish custom was that Rabbis would gather around them groups of 12 disciples to hang around in the study of Torah.

The Roman policy was to arrest the head of any private group hanging around under the suspicion of subversion against the Roman Government and crucify him.

Now, at that time, there was a class of religious Jews called Sadducees, whom the

Romans had chosen the most affluent to be in charge of the Temple and serve in the Priesthood. They were free to exploit the people and collect taxes freely, under the Roman protection.

The Sadducees had become rich and would do anything not to lose their job. Being pressed and threatened by the Roman Procurator they had no choice but to cooperate with the Roman authorities in the arrest of trouble makers.

Jesus was not the only victim of the Romans with the help of the Sadducees. Thousands of Jews were likewise crucified almost for the same reason. But the truth is that the Jews as a people had nothing to do

    with the death of Jesus.

    1) Jesus wasn't a "Hebrew Prophet"

    2) Jesus, assuming he existed, was executed .

    3) he was killed by the romans, because he was a political rabble rouser.

    4) he was not tried by the Jews.

    5) if he had, then by the laws of God and Man, according to most christian belief as to his deeds, would have been guilty of some of the highest blasphemys and thus, according to the instructions of the law, would have earned a death penalty.

    also,

    the trinity is polytheism

Jesus did not fulfill the prophecys regarding the Messiah of the Old Testament,.

there is no such thing as a Jewish person who believes in Jesus. if a person who was Jewish comes to believe in Jesus, they cease to be Jewish. just as a person who is christian, that comes to believe that jesus was the devil, ceases to be Christian.

the concept of the Messiah in Judaism is not fulfilled by Jesus in any way shape or form. the concepts are entirely different.

Jesus was killed by the will of the false Jewish church leaders and the hand of the Roman Empire. It should be noted however that according to Jesus' own words, "No man takes my life. I lay it down. And if I lay it down, I will return and take it up again." Jesus also made the statement that if he wanted, he could summon a legion of angels to come protect him but, of course, he set the course for himself using his heart in the garden of Gethsemane the previous day before the crucifixion. I highly recommend that you seek out this book and read it for yourselves. Easily the most exciting book ever written.

Wait here--I thought that GOD sent Jesus down to die on the cross so that we could be saved from our sins.

So if God did this with intent to kill his son on the cross for our sins, isn't it GOD who killed Jesus? After all, God had an agenda laid out in advance. The Romans were just soldiers following orders. Like our US soldiers follow orders when they kill Arabs.

As Betty Page said "hard to do without an autopsy", and an autopsy is most difficult to perform on a fictional character. The entire story is a 'sick chicken' It is not written nor reads as important history but like a play, and there is not one straight forward statement in it. An all powerful god who can do anything, but he can't teach the people, so he jumps into a woman's womb and come out as a human baby claiming to be his own son and then allowing a group of men to hang him on a cross as his son when it was actually that god who was on the cross, therefore there never was a JC son, so now believers accept what the church teaches or rather lies about as that son was on the cross and went back to heaven. What kind of moron can believe such c**p.

    The Romans killed Jesus.

The NT says the Jews brought Jesus to Pontius, but that's a lie to complete the antisemitic theme in the New Testament.

The Jews had no problem with Jesus. He was just one of the MANY young Jewish men claiming to be the Messiah.

While the Romans saw Jesus as a threat to the empire, because he called himself "the most powerful man in Rome".

So the Romans killed Jesus. The Jews had nothing to do with the whole thing. There's plenty of historical evidence to contradict the description of events and Jewish practices as described in the New Testament reagrding the whole crucifixion business.

There is a Latin phrase that says ipsa dixit. It means it is so because it is said that it is so. The word of G-d to the Jews comes from the Tanakh, which you call the Old Testament. You want Jesus to be our one of the prophets we follow. He is and was never was.

There are many Christians who believe the Jews killed Jesus. Ipsa Dixit. They get their information from their bible. Really, just let it go. Jews just wish to follow their views. Peace.

The Romans NOT Jews killed Jesus since crucifixtion was their way of execution in that era..The burden of proof we did is on you xtians & please don't quote your OT..

Jesus was one of many false messiahs as warned in the Talmud but I repeat,we had nothing to do with his death or any of the others...Jews contrary to belief do not believe in the death penalty..Even Israel only put to death the monstrous Adolph Eichmann,Hitlers most manical henchman..To this day doen't have a death penalty..IMO they should for those who committ crimes against humanity..

Too many prophets to mention but take Elija for one of the many...

Yes, by means of crucifixion. The crucifixion of Christ is recorded in all four gospels: Matthew 27:33-44; Mark 15:22-32; Luke 23:33-43; John 19:17-30.

Crucifixion is the process where a person is nailed or bound to a cross or a stake. It was first used by the Persians and later by the Egyptians, Carthaginians, and Romans as a form of capital punishment. Alexander the Great introduced it to the Mediterranean area and the Romans perfected it as a means of capital punishment. Nails were used in His crucifixion and they were driven through the wrists between the radial and ulna bones and not through the palms since the nail would have ripped through the palm because the palm could not withstand all the weight of the body. Jesus was lead away to the cross and finally, He was nailed to a cross-beam. Normally a person was laid down upon the cross beam and a nail driven into one wrist. Then the other hand was pulled very tightly and another nail driven into the other wrist. The nails were usually about 6-8 inches long. Placing the nail in the wrist severs the median nerve resulting in a burning pain as well as paralysis in the hand. Once Jesus was lifted to the cross, His feet were nailed to it. But, in order to do this, His knees were bent and the feet brought up a bit to allow them to lie flat against the stake so they could be nailed to it. Once suspended, the force of gravity brings the weight of the body down and the shoulders and elbows dislocate by popping out of joint, ripping ligaments. Because of the outstretched position of the arms, the chest cavity is in a perpetually expanded state and it is very difficult to breathe. With the severe loss of blood from the scourging and crucifixion, Jesus would have become dehydrated and His body would have less blood to carry oxygen. Therefore, His heart would beat faster as it attempted to compensate and His need for oxygen would increase greatly. In order to breath, Jesus had to push up on the nails in His feet to allow His chest enough flexibility to inhale. Pushing up on the nails is not only excruciating, but this meant that He had to scrap His raw, beaten back against the rough wooden stake. This whole process of breathing and exhaling by pushing up on the nails only increases in intensity as time passes. Soon, the body gets to the point of no return and the heart either ruptures or the person dies from asphyxiation Jesus died a horrible death.

The Romans carried out the crucifixion of Jesus with many Jews calling for His death.

Matthew suffered martyrdom in Ethopia, killed by a sword wound; Mark died in Alexandria, Egypt, dragged by horses through the streets until he was dead; Luke was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous preaching to the lost; and John was boiled in a huge basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution in Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered from death. John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison island of Patmos where he wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation. The Apostle John was later freed and returned to serve as a bishop in modern Turkey. He died an old man, the only Apostle to die peacefully.
