Ammunition is classified as a "Hazardous Material".

It must be shipped via UPS.

Ammo has to be labeled ORM-D. And has to also be labeled as "small arms". UPS does ship ammo and although I think FedEX does as well as I have had ammo shipped to me through them even though some people say they won't. Maybe they changed their policies. The only part of a gun that counts as a gun is the receiver. You can have a ar15 minus the receiver shipped to you house.

Ok, I went to ship some ammo recently. In order to ship you must go to the MAIN UPS Hub in your area. You cannot ship it from the smaller local ups stores that are in most small plaza's.
