I need to transfer a Firewire port...help!?

I need to take it out of one computer, and put it into a different one. Could someone please give me directions on how to do this? Like detailed, step-by-step instructions? Or maybe just refer me to a good site?

I've never done anything concerning the insides of a computer before. Just a heads up. And one of the computers isn't mine, so I really don't want to break anything.

Update:

It's on a PC desktop (both) and it didn't come built in...my brother had to install it onto the first computer. But now it needs to be on my computer...

Update 2:

We already have DV connector cable thingy, and it fits into my camera no problem, and my brother used it a lot before, so it should work out fine...

Update 3:

"ground myself to the computer"?

Update 4:

oh and ya, my computer has the same kinda slot in the back.

What kind of connection does it have to the computer? You will have to check if your PC has a free slot of the same type. If not, you'll have to buy a new one with the proper connector. If so, it should be fairly straightforward. Unscrew whatever holds the card in, carefully pull it out, then install in the new computer. Always ensure the computer is off and unplugged, and ground yourself to the computer before doing any work inside it.
