Who is Yazid?

Not all the sunnies consider hm a respectable man.. hez the most controversial & most hated ruler of muslim hostory who slain the grandson of the holy prophet... also he was uplift to the thron by a highly controversial nomination of his father (the caliph). Our Shia brothers curse him at maximum.

yazid was the caliph of the muslim world. he was so obsessed with power that he didn't even consider our Prophet(pbuh). he made all possible attempts to harm the Prophets(pbuh) sucessors by all possible means. he is hated by all muslims all over the world.

I believe he had Muhammad's grandson Hussein's body mutilated and its head to be cut off. The head was delivered to him and he gloated at the knowledge his prophet's grandson's head was in his hands because of him. He's a respected political leader of wahabbis and sunnis as they say "peace be upon him" after mentioning his name, and considered satan himself by shias.

A very contorversial person, from what I've read here, but then again I don't take wikipedia seriously. Perhaps someone has better info than me.
