Congress or Bush, who do you belive in?

since twice as many Americans have more confidence in a Republican president then they do a Demacratic congress. could that have an impact in the general election?

Update:

and what about this part? the military (which about 7 in 10 Americans show confidence in; it receives the highest percentage of the 15 institutions).

Possibly, but so far it looks like the democrats will make more gains in congress, and lead in the presidency. When you look at the overall picture, Americans have no confidence in government period. Bush, Congress the Supreme Court, Education etc.

  • *sigh* Bush just broke the record for having the lowest approval ratings in history as well.(for a president.) So it would seem as though NO ONE is happy. However, I would rather see a zebra in the White House than another Republican

    I don't believe in either.

Congress always has a lower approval rating than the President. However, that sparkling 26 percent approval rating for Bush is also an record for almost any president.

I think it means most people don't approve of government, regardless of which party runs it.

I think it is a good sign for Obama, because he portrays himself as an outsider. When fall rolls around, and independents start paying attention to the campaigns, they'll see the difference between Obama, who is mostly a Washington outsider, and McCain, who is more of the same bad government.

Bush and the neocons have been caught lying on Iraq and killed 4,000+ of America's finest as a result. Why would I believe anything those sociopaths say?

The reason people are so disgruntled with the democratic Congress is because they failed to impeach Bush.

I don't "believe in" any politicians.

The congress is not a "Democratic congress"". It is made up of Republicans and Democrats and the Democrats have a slight majority.

"Politico.com" is a a Republican base, so I don't give much credibility to this question.
