Who do you think is going win the Super Bowl next year?

My pick is the Carolina Panthers. With their new soon to be a star running back, Jonathan Stewart, I am atleast 100% that they are making the playoffs this year. Steve Smith will start to make a few moves with Jake Delhome coming back. They will be in the top few teams next year. What do you think?

I guess Dallas fans should go ahead and start ordering their 2008 Super Bowl Champions gear since they are a shoo-in, you know, sorta like how Jerry Jones bought tickets to the NFC title game last year...

No one predicted that the Giants would have won the Super Bowl last year, or the Steelers in 2005.

The likelihood of a sixth seed team winning it all seems just as likely as a first seed nowdays (over the past 4 years, two first seed teams have won it and two sixth seed teams have won it).

Therefore, I'll just do what the cool kids are doing and pick my favorite team to win, even though we all know that we don't have a clue what's going to happen next year.

Seahawks give Mike Holmgren a Lombardi trophy for his retirement party in Tampa, Florida, February 2009, is my predicition.

In all seriousness though, here are the top 10 odds at the MGM Mirage for SB winners:

    Patriots 3-1

    Colts, Cowboys both 11-2

    Chargers 7-1

    Giants 8-1

    Jaguars 10-1

    Seahawks, Steelers both 12-1

Eagles, Browns, Vikings, Bears all 15-1

    Packers 20-1

    Saints 22-1

Bucs, Redskins, Broncos, Jets all 25-1

    Time will tell.

Carolina is 50-1 but that's too low if you ask me.

I agree with you that the Panthers could be good next year, possibly even win their division, but I don't think they'll make it all the way to the Super Bowl. Like I said though, the likelihood of sixth seed team winning it all has been the same as the first seed team winning it over the last four years. They are definitely one of the teams I'm going to keep an eye on as a possible wild card team at the very least though.

With what u said yes they will make playoffs but thats it. they will lose in the wild card.To answer who will win the super bowl is the Dallas Cowboys. They have made some good moves over the off season to strengthen there running and defense. Who they will beat is going to be the San Diego Chargers with a heathly team they are unbeatable( only to Dallas).

Panthers, I agree with you all the way. Jake Delhomme looks better than ever. Stewart adn Williams will be a great tandem, there are so many WR option not to mention STEVE SMITH. The D with beason and Dan corner, and many other good players is gonna be great. Smith=MVP

    Packers

Everyone always says the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC, but I don't know why, I think the Packers and Cowboys are pretty even.
