Easy care large indoor plants??
Anyone know of any large indoor plants that are easy to care for? We have large spot to fill in our living room, it's close to the window but does not get direct sunlight...matter of fact, my living room doesn't get much sunlight at all. We currently have some sort of palm, but it's pretty much dead. I even researched the plant and fertalized, watered etc how it said, but still no luck. Any websites would be great to or ideas of a medium plant that I could sit on a plant stand to fill that area. Thanks in advance!!

Try Dracaena marginata, sometimes called the Madagascar Dragon Tree or Red Edged Dracaena. It will thrive in the area you described and is pretty much a hands off plant. Water it once a week and forget it. You may have to turn it once a month or so to keep is straight, but other than that its pretty easily grown. Fertilize once a month in the summer.

If your palm died, get out a magnifying glass and look on th under side of the leaves for spidermites, red with tiny brown spots on either side, make webs like fine mesh.
Or google two spotted spider mite because PALMS are really suspetable to them.
After saying that, if you do have spider mites you need to get rid of them before you put any plant back.
Now for a replacement, spathofilun lily/peace or closet lily.
Austrailion Ferns, a magnificent large indoor plant.
Many Pothos, Ivys,Bromeliads
If you window is sunny enough, then a Gardenias plant, or a mini oraange tree...

Monstera Deliciosa is a very fine plant which is really a vine, but it contents itself with the support of a simple monkey-pod pole. The foliage is deep green and shining, and can take a great deal of neglect, although good care is rewarded handsomely. This plant is extremely difficult to kill. You have to make an effort to accomplish it.
Monstera Deliciosa will very rarely astound its owner by flowering. A member of the Aroid family, it produces a sort of calla-lily like flower which, when it opens, fills the air with the gorgeous aroma of freshly baked bread.
