1.5 mile run help ASAP!!!!?

I will be leaving for USMC boot camp next monday. I'll let you know what I want to know, then tell you about me/what I need:

1. How should I breath and how do I regulate that?

2. What should I do w/my arms?

3. How long should my stride be?

4. At what percent should I run if I break them up into 1/2 mile intervals.

5. Please address anything else I should be thinking of.

6. Form.

7. When I do this test, should I eat a lot of carbs, and try to stay away from protein or other things in my breakfast diet?

Me:

I must do it in 13:30

Ive been clocked at 12:49, my 1st 1/4 mile was 3:07, and the rest of the run I was exhausted and had to walk at points. I got some cramps and even ended up throwing up.

I can run about 3/5 a mile at 80% w/o starting to feel it.

PLEASE HELP!!! IT WOULD BE A REAL LIFESAVER

    7. No you want to combine a carb and a proriten so have one pice of whole wheat toast with some peanut butter on it and a glass of water try to eat 2 hours before. Don't over eat trust me!! The night before have a carb like pasta. Drink tons of water the week of. How much? Take your body weight in pounds and dived it in half that is how many oz. of water you should have.

Well good luck I know you can do it in track I ran a mile in 6 min flat (i also ran 6.2 mi. race in 47 min and 4 mi. race in 27 min.) and this I what I did and it worked!!

Just breathe normally. You know, out of your mouth though, not your nose. haha. If you have to breathe hard, breathe hard. Just be comfortable.

Keep your arms kind of tucked into your sides. You don't want them flailing around. And make sure your shoulders are relaxed and down.

Don't make your strides too long. It isn't a sprint. You don't wanna ware yourself out. Try shorter strides.

Go at a comfortable pace. You don't wanna be too tired the first 1/2 mile. 13:30 isn't too hard. Stay relaxed. The last 1/2 mile is where you should really try to push yourself. But make sure you run hard the whole time. Don't dog the first mile. haha.

Hmm, make sure you have the right kind of shoes. You don't wanna mess up your legs.

You don't wanna eat a lot right before you run. Yet you don't wanna run on a completely empty stomach. Just eat something small. Like a granola bar of something.

If your run is early in the morning do not skip breakfast. You need your energy for the day. I would stay away from milk though. haha.

Well good luck running! You will do just fine! Make sure you drink lots of water. Start drinking right now!

The navy's health commonplace is eight mins according to mile. You did three miles at 7 minute speed, that's relatively well. As a reference the aggressive degree the speed is frequently under five mins/mile for any style of lengthy distance strolling.
