another credit question?

I have a charge on my credit report for a cell phone that my husband had and then closed the account early, I did not open the account nor was I a cosigner on the account. so why would this show on my credit report.

    It is probably on there because of the address. I would dispute it with the company and say that it wasn't yours. They have to prove it belonged to you. Then they will remove it.

    are you sure that maybe your credit wasnt run for the phone line? if u never had anything to do with it it wont effect ur credit.

    I would dispute it , and check with the company as soon as possible.
